TLA Course Project Management wins Blackboard Catalyst Award

July 8th, 2014

TLA TeleLearn-Akademie is honored with a Blackboard Catalyst Award for Exemplary Course for their Online-Course Project Management Basics. It is one of three courses TLA provides for »Perspektive Wiedereinstieg« - a comprehensive program for professional women who want to return to the workforce after an extended career break. The course content revolves around the topics Social Media Basics and Project Management as well as the preparation for the EBC*L (European Business Competence*Licence).

When designing the course, TLA placed great emphasis on practicability, easy integration into daily life, as well as collective learning through interaction and communication. Thus, participants study independently at home and deepen their knowledge with the use of exercises, specialist discussions and weekly online-meetings. The Blackboard Learn Apps ensure additional flexibility by enabling the participants to study on their mobile Android or iOS-Devices.

Part of the annual Blackboard Catalyst Awards program since 2000, the Blackboard Exemplary Course Award highlights technologically rich, engaging, well designed, and pedagogically sound courses that showcase best practices for the user community. The selection took place in a rigorous peer-review process by more than 300 faculty and instructional designers. Submissions were judged on the following components: course design; interaction and collaboration; assessment; and learner support.
Blackboard is a global leader in the area of Online Learning and Online Teaching technologies and provides the Learning Management System for the
TLA Online Courses.
